Europe should get rid of Islamophobia, which is a serious threat to its future, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said.
Cavusoglu said that if this doesn’t happen, very soon the situation in Europe will resemble the situation before the Second World War, Turkish media reported Nov. 13.
He noted that it is necessary to resume intercultural dialogue in Europe.
He added that Turkey is one of the important participants in the process of ensuring peace in the region.
Earlier, Speaker of the Turkish Parliament Binali Yildirim said the level of Islamophobia in the EU greatly increased in recent years, and this may lead Europe to a serious crisis.
